Jeremiah Ieppert is an Alumni of Waxahachie High School Class of 2000. In high school was an active member of the choir, band, jazz band and show choir. Mr. Ieppert attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University where he received his bachelor degree in Music Education in 2006 and is certified in Music EC-12. In 2015 he earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Beaumont University and also holds a Principal Certification.

Mr. Ieppert began his career in 2006 teaching music at Shackelford Elementary in Waxahachie ISD. In 2007 he began teaching at the secondary level. During rezoning of schools he had the opportunity to teach on many WISD campuses’ including: Finley Jr. High, Howard Jr. High, and Turner Middle School, Clift 6th Grade Campus, Waxahachie Global High School and Waxahachie Ninth Grade Academy. Mr. Ieppert is now the Head Director of Choral Activities in Waxahachie ISD and teaches at Waxahachie High School.

Mr. Ieppert has directed WISD’s One Voice honor choir since its inception in 2008. He will serve in an advisory capacity to this organization going forward. Mr. Ieppert is also on the Board of Directors for Ellis County Children’s Theater and several of their summer musicals have been under his musical direction. Additionally, he spent 6 years working with at risk students as a reading and math tutor at his childhood home, Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services. 

Mr. Ieppert’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and he is also a provisional member of Texas Music Adjudicators Association. Mr. Ieppert’s choirs have consistently earned Sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest qualifying him to be a member of TMAA. Other recognitions include: WISD’s Rookie Teacher of the year in 2006 and Finley Jr. High School Teacher of the Year in 2014. He was also recognized as a “Hachie Hero” in 2013.

Mr. Ieppert is excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the families, community and most importantly, the students in Waxahachie ISD.
